After twenty-five years of teaching seminary as a “double
doctor,” this 507-page introduction was motivated by watching his students “grow
weary of taking notes diligently from day to day in the classroom” (Preface). Can’t go to seminary? Here is one workable and serviceable volume.
Very little
is available on Mr. (Rev. Dr. Prof.) Harrison’s life during an internet search. He was double-doctored. We have two bio-notes

EVERETT
F. HARRISON
(B.A., University of Washington; M.A., Princeton University; Th.B., Princeton
Seminary; Th.D., Dallas Theological Seminary; Ph.D., University of
Pennsylvania), has served as a missionary in China and as a Presbyterian
minister in Pennsylvania, though most of his work was in the classroom. He
taught both at Dallas Theological Seminary and Fuller Theological Seminary. He
is author of numerous books and commentaries including Colossians
(Everyman's Bible Commentary), Interpreting Acts: The Expanding Church,
and Romans (Expositor's Bible Commentary).

Everett F. Harrison—Born July 2, 1902 he was ordained a Presbyterian minister in 1927. From 1928-1930 he was an instructor in Old Testament at Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Tex. He continued there as professor of New Testament from 1928-30, 1932-35, 1936-40, 1944-47 He became pastor of Third Presbyterian Church, Chester, Pa. from 1940-44 and was a professor of New Testament from 1947 forward at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, Calif.
A writer of Sunday school lesson materials for the American Sunday School Union for twenty-five years, he was also Editor-in Chief- for the Wycliffe Bible Commentary and the author of numerous other books, including, editor of Baker's Dictionary of Theology along with Geoffrey W. Bromiley, and Carl F.H. Henry. Harrison was competent in Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, German, Latin, and French.
